You shall not kill your offspring for fear of want. It is We who provide for them, and for you. Indeed, killing them is a great sin. 31 (viii) Do not even approach fornication for it is an outrageous act, and an evil way. 32 And do not kill any one whom Allah has forbidden, except for a just cause, and whoever is slain unjustly, We have indeed given to his heir authority, so let him not exceed the just limits in slaying; surely he is aided. 33 And do not touch the property of the orphans except for bettering it, until they come of age; and fulfil the promise made: You will surely be questioned about the promise. 34 Fill the measure when ye measure, and weigh with a right balance; that is meet, and better in the end. 35 And go not thou after that where of thou hast no knowledge verily the hearing and the sight and the heart, each of these shall be asked about. 36 Nor walk on the earth with insolence: for thou canst not rend the earth asunder, nor reach the mountains in height. 37 All that - its evil is ever, in the sight of your Lord, detested. 38 This is part of the wisdom that your Lord has revealed to you. Do not set up any other deity with God, lest you be cast into Hell, condemned and rejected. 39 What, has your Lord favoured you with sons and taken to Himself from the angels females? Surely it is a monstrous thing you are saying! 40
