The men of the Thicket cried lies to the Envoys 176 When Shu'eyb said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 177 I am a trustworthy messenger to you: 178 I ask of you no wage for this; 179 “And I do not ask from you any fee for it; my reward is only upon the Lord Of The Creation.” 180 ۞ Give full measure and do not be of those who cause loss. 181 "And weigh with scales true and upright. 182 and do not deprive people of what is rightfully theirs; and do not act wickedly on earth by spreading corruption, 183 Fear Him who created you, and the generations of the ancients.' 184 They replied, "You are bewitched. 185 "You are but a human being like us and verily, we think that you are one of the liars! 186 "So cause a piece of the heaven to fall on us, if you are of the truthful!" 187 He said: "My Lord knows best what ye do." 188 They rejected him and then the torment of the gloomy day struck them. It was certainly a great torment. 189 Verily in this was a sign, but most of them do not believe. 190 And most surely your Lord is Mighty, the Merciful. 191
