Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is split asunder, 1 when the planets are scattered, 2 And when the seas are erupted 3 And the sepulchres are overturned, 4 everyone shall know all his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 5 O man! what has beguiled you from your Lord, the Gracious one, 6 Who created thee, then fashioned, then proportioned thee? 7 In whatever form He willed has He assembled you. 8 Yet you deny the Last Judgement. 9 But verily over you (are appointed angels) to protect you,- 10 noble, writers 11 who know all that you do: 12 Most surely the righteous are in bliss, 13 The wicked certainly in Hell: 14 which they will enter on the Day of Judgment 15 and which they shall not [be able to] evade. 16 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 17 And once again: What could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19
