The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
25 verses, revealed in Mecca after Shattering (Al-Infitaar) before The Romans (Al-Room)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the sky is rent asunder, 1 And it listens to the command of its Lord and that befits it. 2 when the earth is stretched out 3 and casts forth what is in it, and voids itself, 4 and hearkens to the command of its Lord, doing what it should. 5 O man! surely you must strive (to attain) to your Lord, a hard striving until you meet Him. 6 Then, he who is given his Book in his right hand 7 shall have an easy reckoning 8 And will return to his people full of joy. 9 But as for those whose Book of records will be given behind their backs, 10 He shall call for perdition, 11 and he will enter the blazing flame. 12 Indeed, he had [once] been among his people in happiness; 13 Truly, did he think that he would not have to return (to Us)! 14 Yes! Verily, his Lord has been ever beholding him! 15 But nay! I swear by the sunset redness, 16 And by the night and all that it enshroudeth, 17 And by the moon when it is at the full, 18 You will surely go up level by level. 19 But what is the matter with them that they do not believe, 20 And when the Qur’an is recited to them, they do not fall prostrate? (Command of Prostration # 13) ۩ 21 No, the unbelievers only belie, 22 Whereas Allah knoweth best that which they cherish. 23 So announce to them a painful punishment~ 24 except for those who believe and do good deeds. Theirs shall be an unending reward. 25
God the Almighty always says the truth.
