The people of Noah gave the lie to the Messengers. 105 when their brother Noah said unto them: "Will you not be conscious of God? 106 Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. 107 So fear Allah and obey me. 108 I seek of you no reward for this: my reward is with none except the Lord of the Universe. 109 so fear God and obey me." 110 ۞ They answered: "Shall we place our faith in thee, even though [only] the most abject [of people] follow thee?" 111 He said: And what knowledge have I of what they may have been doing (in the past)? 112 "Their account is only with my Lord, if ye could (but) understand. 113 And I am not going to drive away the believers; 114 "I am sent only to warn plainly in public." 115 They said, “O Nooh, if you do not desist you will surely be stoned.” 116 He said: My Lord! Surely my people give me the lie! 117 "Judge Thou, then, between me and them openly, and deliver me and those of the Believers who are with me." 118 So We delivered him, and those with him, in the laden ship, 119 Then after it, We drowned the rest. 120 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 121 And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 122
