3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
(In the days of old), Noah cried to Us, and We are the best to hear prayer. 75 And We delivered him and his people from the great distress, 76 And We made his descendants those remaining [on the earth] 77 And left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations to come in later times: 78 Salamun (peace) be upon Nuh (Noah) (from Us) among the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)!" 79 Thus do We reward all those who do good. 80 Verily, he [Nuh (Noah)] was one of Our believing slaves. 81 Then We drowned the others 82 ۞ And verily of his sect was Ibrahim. 83 He turned to his Lord with a sound heart 84 Behold! he said to his father and to his people, "What is that which ye worship? 85 “What! You desire, through fabrication, Gods other than Allah?” 86 Then what is your thought about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 And he cast a look at the stars 88 Then said: Lo! I feel sick! 89 So they departed from him turning their backs. 90 Then turned he to their gods and said: Will ye not eat? 91 What is the matter with you that you do not speak?" 92 And he turned upon them a blow with [his] right hand. 93 So the people descended upon him. 94 "Why do you worship these you carve yourselves," he asked, 95 “Whereas Allah has created you and your actions?” 96 They said, "Let us build a fire and throw him into the flames". 97 But whereas they sought to do evil unto him, We [frustrated their designs, and thus] brought them low? 98 And [Abraham] said: "Verily, I shall [leave this land and] go wherever my Sustainer will guide me!" 99 My Lord! Vouchsafe me of the righteous. 100 Then We gave him the good tidings of a prudent boy; 101 And when he attained to working with him, he said: O my son! surely I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice you; consider then what you see. He said: O my father! do what you are commanded; if Allah please, you will find me of the patient ones. 102 And when they had both submitted and he put him down upon his forehead, 103 We cried out: “O Abraham, 104 you have fulfilled the dream." It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good, 105 for, behold, all this was indeed a trial, clear in itself. 106 Then We ransomed him with a tremendous victim. 107 And We left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 108 "Peace be upon Abraham!" 109 This is how We reward the virtuous. 110 he was among Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Ishaque (Isaac) a Prophet from the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among their descendants are some who do good, but some who wrong themselves. 113
