We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 and We saved them and their people from the awesome calamity [of bondage,] 115 and We helped them, so that they were victorious; 116 And We gave them the explicit Scripture, 117 guided them to the right path, 118 And We kept their praise among the latter generations. 119 Salamun (peace) be upon Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron)!" 120 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 121 truly they were among Our faithful servants. 122 And Ilyas was most surely of the apostles. 123 when he said to his people, 'Will you not be godfearing? 124 What! do you call upon Ba'l and forsake the best of the creators, 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients?' 126 But they denied him, so they surely will be haled forth (to the doom) 127 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 "Peace be on Elijah and his people!" 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 Lot was certainly a Messenger. 133 (Call to mind) when We delivered him and all his kinsfolk, 134 Except an old woman (who was) amongst those who tarried. 135 and We destroyed the rest. 136 and, verily, [to this day] you pass by the remnants of their dwellings at morning-time 137 And during the night; so do you not have sense? 138
