Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 As justification or warning, 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 Till a limit known? 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 and yellow camels. 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
