Is it not a lesson for the successors of the past generations that had We wanted, We could have punished them for their sins, sealed their hearts and deprived them of hearing? 100 These towns-- We relate to you some of their stories, and certainly their apostles came to them with clear arguments, but they would not believe in what they rejected at first; thus does Allah set a seal over the hearts of the unbelievers 101 We did not find many among them keeping their promises. However, We did find many evil-doers among them. 102 Then We sent after them Moses with Our signs to Pharaoh and his establishment, but they were unjust toward them. So see how was the end of the corrupters. 103 And Moosa said, “O Firaun! Indeed I am a Noble Messenger from the Lord Of The Creation.” 104 [Who is] obligated not to say about Allah except the truth. I have come to you with clear evidence from your Lord, so send with me the Children of Israel." 105 He answered: 'If you have come with a sign, show it to us if you are of the truthful' 106 Then [Musa (Moses)] threw his stick and behold! it was a serpent, manifest! 107 Then he drew out his hand and it was luminous to the onlookers. 108
