It is He who sends down water from the sky. From it you drink and with it trees grow on which you pasture your cattle. 10 And thereby He brings forth crops and olives, palms and vines, and all the fruits. Surely, in this there is a sign for a nation who think. 11 He has subjected to you the night, the day, the sun and the moon. The stars are subjected by His Command. Surely, in that there is a sign for a nation who understands. 12 And there are also Signs for those who take heed in the numerous things of various colours that He has created for you on earth. 13 And He it is Who has subjected the sea (to you), that you eat thereof fresh tender meat (i.e. fish), and that you bring forth out of it ornaments to wear. And you see the ships ploughing through it, that you may seek (thus) of His Bounty (by transporting the goods from place to place) and that you may be grateful. 14 And He has cast into the earth firmly set mountains, lest it shift with you, and [made] rivers and roads, that you may be guided, 15 and waymarks; and by the stars they are guided. 16 Is then He Who creates like one that creates not? Will ye not receive admonition? 17 If you count the favours of God you will not be able to calculate. Assuredly God is forgiving and kind. 18 Allah knows all that you conceal and all that you disclose. 19 , As for those they call besides God, they cannot create a thing, and have themselves been created. 20 (They are things) dead, lifeless: nor do they know when they will be raised up. 21
