Q (Qaaf)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Qaf. By the glorious Qur'an. 1 But they wonder that there has come to them a Warner from among themselves. So the Unbelievers say: "This is a wonderful thing! 2 Shall we be brought back when we are dead and have become dust? That is a return remote! 3 We know that which the earth takes of them (their dead bodies), and with Us is a Book preserved (i.e. the Book of Decrees). 4 But they denied the truth when it came to them, so they are in a confused condition. 5 Do they not then look up to heaven above them how We have made it and adorned it and it has no gaps? 6 And (how) We have spread the earth, and placed mountains as anchors in it, and have grown all kinds of beautiful pairs in it? 7 as a lesson and reminder for every human being who turns to God; 8 And We send down blessed water (rain) from the sky, then We produce therewith gardens and grain (every kind of harvests) that are reaped. 9 and tall palmtrees with compact spathes 10 all this as sustenance for Our servants. And thus We do bring the dead land back to life with water. Such shall be the coming forth (of human beings from the earth). 11 The people of Noah denied before them, and the companions of the well and Thamud 12 The 'Ad, Pharaoh, the brethren of Lut, 13 And the companions of the thicket and the people of Tubba'. All denied the messengers, so My threat was justly fulfilled. 14 Did We fail to accomplish the first creation? Of course, We did not; We have all power over all things. Yet they are confused about a new creation. 15
