(Muhammad), remind them, by the Grace of your Lord, that you are neither a soothsayer or an insane person. 29 Or they allege, “He is a poet – we await a calamity of the times to befall him.” 30 say [to them], "Wait then: I too am waiting along with you!" -- 31 Or do their intellects bid them do this? Or are they an insolent people? 32 Or do they say: "He (Muhammad SAW) has forged it (this Quran)?" Nay! They believe not! 33 Then let them produce a statement like it, if they should be truthful. 34 Or were they created without there being anything, or are they the creators? 35 [And] have they created the heavens and the earth? Nay, but they have no certainty of anything! 36 Or, are the treasures of your Lord in their keeping? Or, are they the controllers? 37 Or have they a stairway [into the heaven] upon which they listen? Then let their listener produce a clear authority. 38 Does God have daughters while you have sons? 39 Or askest thou them for a wage, and so they are weighed down with debt? 40 Do they have knowledge of the unseen, thus, are able to predict (the future)? 41 Or are they contriving a stratagem against you? If so, that stratagem will rebound against the unbelievers. 42 Or have they any god beside Allah? Glorified be Allah from all that they ascribe as partner (unto Him)! 43 Even if they were to see a part of the heavens falling down upon them, they would say, "It is only dense cloud". 44 Leave them then till they meet that day of theirs wherein they shall be made to swoon (with terror): 45 when their stratagem shall be of no avail to them, nor shall they be succoured. 46 For the harmdoers there is indeed, a punishment before that, but most of them do not know. 47 So wait patiently (O Muhammad SAW) for the Decision of your Lord, for verily, you are under Our Eyes, and glorify the Praises of your Lord when you get up from sleep. 48 And in the night, give Him glory too, and at the setting of the stars. 49
