Al-Rahman 2 of 3
Everyone on earth is destined to die. 26 But abiding is the glory of your Lord, full of majesty and beneficence. 27 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 28 On Him depends all creatures in the heavens and on earth; [and] every day He manifests Himself in yet another [wondrous] way. 29 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 30 We shall surely attend to you at leisure, you weight and you weight! 31 (We shall then see), which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 32 O company of jinn and men, if ye have power to penetrate (all) regions of the heavens and the earth, then penetrate (them)! Ye will never penetrate them save with (Our) sanction. 33 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 34 Flames of smokeless fire and black smoke without flames, will be let loose on you, so you will not be able to retaliate. 35 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 36 And when the heaven is rent asunder, and then becomes red like red hide. 37 Which of your Lord's powers will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 38 On that day there will be no need to ask mankind or jinn about his sin 39 (We shall see) which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 40 The guilty shall be recognized by their marks so they shall be seized by their forelocks and their feet. 41 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 42 This is Hell which the Mujrimun (polytheists, criminals, sinners, etc.) denied. 43 They will go round between its flames and boiling water. 44 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 45

(1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
