▼ 74 The Hidden Secret
Al-Muddath-thir 2 of 2
Nay, verily: By the Moon, 32 By the night when it withdraweth. 33 By the dawn when it lightens! 34 it is one of the greatest trials, 35 A warning to mankind, 36 Whoever of you desires to progress or lag behind. 37 Every soul will be a pledge for that which it hath earned, 38 except the Companions of the Right. 39 (They will be) in Gardens (of Delight): they will question each other, 40 about the guilty ones: 41 'What caused you to be thrust into the Scorching (Fire)' 42 They will answer: We were not of those who prayed 43 “Nor used to feed the needy.” 44 and we plunged along with the plungers, 45 "And we used to belie the Day of Recompense 46 until the inevitable event overtook us.” 47 Then the intercession of the intercessors shall not profit them. 48 Why then do they turn away from the admonition 49 As though they were frightened asses 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Nay, everyone of them desires that he should be given pages spread out (coming from Allah with a writing that Islam is the right religion, and Muhammad SAW has come with the truth from Allah the Lord of the heavens and earth, etc.). 52 No, indeed they have no fear of the Everlasting Life. 53 Never so, as this is a reminder. 54 Let anyone who seeks guidance do so. 55 And what advice will they heed, except if Allah wills? Only He deserves to be feared, and His only is the greatness of forgiving. 56
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
