Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 As justification or warning, 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 For a known term? 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
