No! By the moon 32 and the night when it retreats 33 And the dawn when it shineth forth, 34 hell is certainly the greatest calamity. 35 A warning for people -- 36 Unto him of you who will advance or hang back. 37 Every soul will be (held) in pledge for its deeds. 38 Except the companions of the right, 39 In gardens, they shall ask each other 40 about the guilty ones: 41 "What led you into Hell Fire?" 42 They will answer: "We did not fulfil our devotional obligations, 43 Nor did we used to feed the poor. 44 We indulged and persisted in useless disputes, 45 and we gave the lie to the Day of Judgement 46 till the certainty (death) overtook us' 47 Then the intercession of the intercessors shall not profit them. 48 Then what is [the matter] with them that they are, from the reminder, turning away 49 As if they were alarmed donkeys 50 fleeing before a lion? 51 Indeed, everyone of them desires to have sheets of revelations unfolded before them -- 52 By no means! But they fear not the Hereafter, 53 but this is truly a reminder. 54 Let anyone who seeks guidance do so. 55 But none will remember, unless Allah wills, He is the Owner of fear, the Owner of forgiveness. 56
