Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun is folded up, 1 when the stars shall be thrown down, 2 The mountains made to move, 3 and when she-camels big with young, about to give birth, are left untended, 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together, 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 And when souls are reunited, 7 when the buried female infant is asked 8 such as, "For what crime were they murdered?" 9 And when the Writs shall be lain open, 10 And when the sky is stripped away 11 when Hell is set ablaze, 12 and Paradise brought nigh: 13 (Then) shall each soul know what it has put forward. 14 So by oath of those, the planets that revolve. 15 stars which are visible during the night 16 The closing night, 17 and the morn as it breathes. 18 Truly, this is the word brought by a noble messenger, 19 Owner of strength, of established dignity with the Lord of the Throne. 20 obeyed by (all creatures) and faithful to His trust. 21 Your companion (Muhammad) does not suffer from any mental illness 22 And indeed he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) saw him [Jibrael (Gabriel)] in the clear horizon (towards the east). 23 nor does he grudge (conveying this knowledge about) the Unseen; 24 Nor is this the word of an outcast devil. 25 Whither then will you go? 26 This is a reminder for all the peoples of the world, 27 For whoever wills among you to take a right course. 28 And you do not please except that Allah please, the Lord of the worlds. 29
