Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Alif Lam Mim 1 These are verses of the Wise Book. 2 Guidance and mercy for the righteous. 3 who perform the prayer, and pay the alms, and have sure faith in the Hereafter. 4 It is they who follow the guidance [that comes to them] from their Sustainer; and it is they, they who shall attain to a happy state! 5 There are some human beings who purchase an enchanting diversion in order to lead people away from the way of Allah without having any knowledge, who hold the call to the Way of Allah to ridicule. A humiliating chastisement awaits them. 6 And when Our communications are recited to him, he turns back proudly, as if he had not heard them, as though in his ears were a heaviness, therefore announce to him a painful chastisement. 7 But for those who believe and do good works are Gardens of Bliss, 8 To abide therein. It is a Promise of Allah in truth. And He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise. 9 He created the heavens without pillars as you see them, and put mountains upon the earth lest it might convulse with you, and He spread in it animals of every kind; and We sent down water from the cloud, then caused to grow therein (vegetation) of every noble kind. 10 This is the Creation of Allah. Now show me that which those (ye worship) beside Him have created. Nay, but the wrong-doers are in error manifest! 11
