Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When the heaven shall be cleft, 1 the stars are dispersed, 2 when the seas overflow; 3 And when the graves are overturned. 4 Each soul will know what it had sent ahead and what it had left behind. 5 O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?- 6 Who created you then formed your symmetry, then gave you right proportion, 7 and composed thee after what form He would? 8 Not at all – but rather you deny the establishment of Justice. 9 Lo! there are above you guardians, 10 Noble and recording; 11 Knowing all what you may do. 12 Indeed, the righteous shall (live) in bliss. 13 whereas the wicked will be in Hell; 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 and from it they shall never be absent. 16 They will never be able to escape from it. Would that you knew what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again would that you only knew how terrible it really is! 18 It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah. 19
