Pray, (O Muhammad): "My Lord, if You should bring the scourge of which they had been warned in my presence, 93 My Lord, then do not place me among the wrongdoing people." 94 We have certainly the power to make you see what We have promised them. 95 (O Muhammad)! Repel evil in the best manner. We are well aware of all that they say about you. 96 And say: "O my Sustainer! I seek refuge with Thee from the promptings of all evil impulses; 97 O my Lord, I seek refuge in You lest they attend me' 98 (They shall persist in their deeds) until when death comes to anyone of them he will say: "My Lord, send me back to the world 99 that I should do righteousness in that I forsook' No! It is only a word which he will speak. Behind them there shall stand a barrier till the Day that they shall be resurrected. 100 And when the trumpet is blown there will be no kinship among them that day, nor will they ask of one another. 101 Those whose scales are heavy shall prosper, 102 but those whose scales are light shall forfeit their souls and live in Gehenna (Hell) for ever. 103 The fire shall scorch their faces, and they therein shall be in severe affliction. 104 Were not My messages recited to you and did you not reject them? 105 They will say: "Our Lord! Our wretchedness overcame us, and we were (an) erring people. 106 Lord, deliver us from Hell. Then, if we revert again, we shall definitely be wrongdoers." 107 He shall say: Go away into it and speak not to Me; 108 There was a section among My creatures that said: 'O Lord, we believe. Forgive us and have mercy upon us, for You are the best of the merciful.' 109 But you made a laughing stock of them to the point where it made you forget My remembrance; and you went on laughing at them. 110 Indeed, I have rewarded them this Day for their patient endurance - that they are the attainers [of success]." 111 And He will ask: 'How many years did you live on earth' 112 They will say, "We stayed a day or part of a day. Ask those who have kept count." 113 He will say: "Ye stayed not but a little,- if ye had only known! 114 What, did you think that We created you only for sport, and that you would not be returned to Us?' 115 So Exalted be Allah, the True King, La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the Lord of the Supreme Throne! 116 He who invokes any other god along with Allah " one for whom he has no evidence" his reckoning is with his Lord alone. Indeed, these unbelievers shall not prosper. 117 So say: "O my Lord! grant Thou forgiveness and mercy for Thou art the Best of those who show mercy!" 118
