1/2 Hizb 45

۞ Muster those who did evil, their wives, and that they were serving, 22 instead of God, and lead them all onto the way to the blazing fire, 23 And stop them, for they shall be questioned: 24 How is it that you are not helping one another? 25 No, today they will resign themselves in submission, 26 And they will advance toward each other mutually questioning. 27 They will say: verily ye! ye were wont to come unto us Imposing. 28 They will reply: "Nay, ye yourselves had no Faith! 29 We had no authority over you, but you were an insolent nation. 30 “So the Word of our Lord has proved true upon us; we will surely have to taste (the punishment).” 31 For we had led you astray. In fact we ourselves were astray." 32 So they shall on that day be sharers in the chastisement one with another. 33 Verily We! in this wise We deal with the culprits. 34 They were the ones, who on being told, "God is only One," become puffed-up with pride 35 and replied, "Shall we then give up our deities at the bidding of a mad poet?" 36 In fact, he had brought them the truth and had acknowledged the Messengers (who were sent before him). 37 “You surely have to taste the painful punishment.” 38 And ye shall be required not except for that which ye have been doing; 39 But the chosen servants of God; 40 there is waiting for them a known provision; 41 and fruits while they are honored. 42 (They will live) in the bountiful gardens, 43 Facing one another on thrones. 44 With cups from a flowing stream being passed around, 45 delicious to those who drink it 46 Free from headiness; nor will they suffer intoxication therefrom. 47 With them will be spouses, modest of gaze and beautiful of eye, 48 (Pure) as they were hidden eggs (of the ostrich). 49 They will turn to one another with questions: 50 One of them will start the talk and say: "I had an intimate companion (on the earth), 51 "Who used to say, 'what! art thou amongst those who bear witness to the Truth (of the Message)? 52 [that] after we have died and become mere dust and bones we shall, forsooth, be brought to judgment?"' 53 He saith: Will ye look? 54 He will look down and see him in hell. 55 He saith: By Allah, thou verily didst all but cause my ruin, 56 "Had it not been for the Grace of my Lord, I would certainly have been among those brought forth (to Hell)." 57 “So are we never to die?” (The people of Paradise will ask the angels, with delight, after the announcement of everlasting life.) 58 Except our previous death? And we shall not be chastised? 59 Surely this is the supreme triumph. 60 For the like of this, then, let the workers work. 61 Is that (Paradise) better entertainment or the tree of Zaqqum (a horrible tree in Hell)? 62 Indeed, We have made it a torment for the wrongdoers. 63 It is a tree that comes forth in the root of Hell; 64 The shoots of its fruit-stalks are like the heads of Shayatin (devils); 65 and they [who are lost in evil] are indeed bound to eat thereof, and to fill their bellies therewith. 66 And thereafter verily they shall have thereon a draught of boiling water. 67 Then shall their return be to the (Blazing) Fire. 68 They found their fathers in error, 69 so they are rushing to follow in their footsteps. 70 And certainly most of the ancients went astray before them, 71 and We sent among them warners; 72 See then the end of those who were warned, 73 except for God's sincere servants. 74
