The Human (Al-Insan)
31 verses, revealed in Medina after The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman) before Divorce (Al-Talaaq)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Has there come on man a while of time when he was a thing unremembered? 1 Indeed We have created man from mixed semen; in order to test him – We therefore made him hearing, knowing. 2 Verily, We showed him the way, whether he be grateful or ungrateful. 3 [Now,] behold, for those who deny the truth, We have prepared chains, iron collars and a blazing fire, but 4 The virtuous ones will drink from a cup containing camphor 5 A Fountain where the Devotees of Allah do drink, making it flow in unstinted abundance. 6 They fulfill vows and fear a day the evil of which shall be spreading far and wide. 7 who give food, for the love of Him to the needy, the orphan, and the captive, 8 Saying: we feed you only for the sake of Allah; we desire not from you any recompense or thanks. 9 Lo! we fear from our Lord a day of frowning and of fate. 10 So Allah shall guard them against the woe of that Day, and will procure them freshness and joy, 11 And reward them for their perseverence Paradise and silken robes, 12 In that [garden] they will on couches recline, and will know therein neither [burning] sun nor cold severe, 13 And the shade thereof is close upon them, and the bunches of fruit thereof will hang low within their reach. 14 And there shall be made to go round about them vessels of silver and goblets which are of glass, 15 crystal of silver that they have measured -- very exactly. 16 And in Paradise they will be given to drink cups, filled with a mixture of ginger. 17 Which is a spring in Paradise called Salsabeel. 18 ۞ And immortal youths will wait upon them: when thou seest them, thou wouldst deem them to be scattered pearls; 19 When you look around, you will see delights and great dominion. 20 Upon those [blest] will be garments of green silk and brocade; and they will be adorned with bracelets of silver. And their Sustainer will them to drink of a drink most pure. 21 Behold, this is a recompense for you, and your striving is thanked.' 22

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
