The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the sky with its constellations, 1 And [by] the promised Day 2 by the witness and the witnessed, 3 That accursed are the men of the trench 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel: 5 when they were seated around it 6 fully conscious of what they are doing to the believers, 7 And what did they dislike from the Muslims, except that the Muslims accepted faith in Allah the Most Honourable, the Most Praiseworthy? 8 Who, to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness over everything. 9 Surely those who tormented the believing men and the believing women and then did not repent, theirs shall be the chastisement of Hell, and theirs shall be the chastisement of burning. 10 As for those who believed and acted righteously, theirs shall be Gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great triumph. 11 Surely thy Lord's assault is terrible. 12 It is He who originates and repeats. 13 And He only is the Oft Forgiving, the Beloved of His bondmen. 14 Lord of the Throne, the All-glorious, 15 a sovereign doer of whatever He wills. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 Of Pharaoh and (the tribe of) Thamud? 18 The unbelievers are indeed engaged in denying it, calling it a lie, 19 Whereas Allah is, from behind them, Encompassing. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Qur'an. 21 [Inscribed] in a Preserved Slate. 22
