Said [Moses]: "O my Sustainer! Open up my heart [to Thy light,] 25 “And make my task easy for me.” 26 Unloose the knot upon my tongue, 27 That they may understand my speech. 28 And give to me an aider from my family: 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 Increase through him my strength 31 and let him share my task, 32 That we may exalt You much 33 and remember you often. 34 Surely Thou seest into us.' 35 He answered: "Granted is your prayer, O Moses. 36 "And indeed, We bestowed Our favour upon thee at a time long since past, 37 When We revealed to your mother what was revealed; 38 "Cast him into the ark, and cast him into the river, and let the river throw him up on the shore. An enemy of Mine and his shall take him." And I loaded on thee love from Me, and to be formed in My sight, 39 "Behold! thy sister goeth forth and saith, 'shall I show you one who will nurse and rear the (child)?' So We brought thee back to thy mother, that her eye might be cooled and she should not grieve. Then thou didst slay a man, but We saved thee from trouble, and We tried thee in various ways. Then didst thou tarry a number of years with the people of Midian. Then didst thou come hither as ordained, O Moses! 40 And I produced you for Myself. 41 Go you and your brother with My communications and be not remiss in remembering Me; 42 Go ye twain unto Fir'awn, verily he hath waxen exorbitant, 43 Both of you must speak with him in a gentle manner so that perhaps he may come to himself or have fear (of God)." 44 They said: "Our Lord! Verily! We fear lest he should hasten to punish us or lest he should transgress (all bounds against us)." 45 [Allah] said, "Fear not. Indeed, I am with you both; I hear and I see. 46 So go to him and say: 'The two of us have indeed been sent by your Lord. So let the children of Israel come with us, and do not oppress them. We have come to you with a token from your Lord. Peace on him who follows the way of guidance. 47 it has been revealed to us that punishment shall overtake him who rejects it and turns away!'" 48 Pharaoh said, "Who then is the Lord of you both, Moses?" 49 Musa said: our Lord is He who vouchsafed unto everything its creation, then guided it. 50 Pharaoh said, 'And what of the former generations?' 51 [Moses] said, "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a record. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 HE IT IS who has made the earth a cradle for you, and has traced out for you ways [of livelihood] thereon, and [who] sends down waters from the sky: and by this means We bring forth various kinds of plants. 53 so eat and graze your cattle. In this there are signs for men of understanding. 54
