۞ By inspiration we told Moses: "Travel by night with my servants; for surely ye shall be pursued." 52 So Firaun sent gatherers into the cities. 53 Verily these are but a band small. 54 who have certainly provoked our wrath. 55 and we are a host on our guard' 56 So, We expelled them from gardens and springs, 57 their treasures and a noble station. 58 Thus it was: but [in the course of time] We were to bestow all these [things] as a heritage on the children of Israel. 59 And so [the Egyptians] caught up with them at sunrise; 60 and as soon as the two hosts came in sight of one another, the followers of Moses exclaimed: "Behold, we shall certainly be overtaken [and defeated]!" 61 Said Moosa, “Never! Indeed my Lord is with me, He will now show me the way.” 62 We sent a revelation to Moses saying, "Strike the sea with your staff." The sea was rent asunder and each side stood high up like a huge mountain. 63 And there We brought the others on, 64 and We saved Moses and all who were with him, 65 then, We drowned the others. 66 Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers. 67 truly, your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 68
