We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 And We delivered them and their people from (their) Great Calamity; 115 And We helped them, so they were victorious. 116 We gave them the enlightening Book, 117 And showed them the straight path, 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 Peace be on Musa and Haroun. 120 This is how We reward the virtuous. 121 they were among Our believing servants. 122 Elias too was one of the Envoys; 123 When he said to his people, “Do you not fear?” 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of yore? 126 But they denied him [Iliyas (Elias)], so they will certainly be brought forth (to the punishment), 127 Except the sincere and devoted Servants of Allah (among them). 128 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 129 "Peace and salutation to such as Elias!" 130 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 131 Verily he was one of Our bondmen believing. 132 Lot too was one of the Envoys; 133 Recall what time We delivered him and his household, all. 134 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind; 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 And lo! ye verily pass by (the ruin of) them in the morning 137 And during the night; so do you not have sense? 138
