Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 To the day of decision. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 Till a limit known? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 The living and the dead, 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 40
