And when thy Lord called to Moses, 'Go to the people of the evildoers, 10 The people of Fir'awn; fear they Me not? 11 : He said: "O Lord, I fear that they will deny me. 12 And my breast straiteneth, and my tongue moveth not quickly: so send for Harun. 13 besides, they accuse me of a crime, and I fear that they may put me to death." 14 He said: By no means, so go you both with Our signs; surely We are with you, hearing; 15 “Therefore approach Firaun then proclaim, ‘We both are Noble Messengers of the Lord Of The Creation.’ 16 so send forth with us the Children of Israel." 17 [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] said [to Musa (Moses)]: "Did we not bring you up among us as a child? And you did dwell many years of your life with us. 18 and you did the deed which you did. You are certainly ungrateful." 19 Moses said: "I did it then, when I was in error. 20 "So I fled from you (all) when I feared you; but my Lord has (since) invested me with judgment (and wisdom) and appointed me as one of the messengers. 21 That is a blessing thou reproachest me with, having enslaved the Children of Israel.' 22 Pharaoh said: And what is the Lord of the Worlds? 23 [Moses] said, "The Lord of the heavens and earth and that between them, if you should be convinced." 24 Pharaoh said to those around him, "Did you hear?" 25 He said: your Lord and the Lord of your ancient fathers. 26 Pharaoh said, "This messenger who has been sent to you is surely possessed!" 27 He said: Lord of the East and the West and all that is between them, if ye did but understand. 28 Pharaoh said: "If you take any god other than me, I will certainly make you one of those (who are rotting) in prison." 29 (Moses) said: "Even though I have brought to you something convincing?" 30 Said Firaun, “Then bring it, if you are of the truthful.” 31 So Moosa put down his staff and it became a visible serpent. 32 And he drew out his hand, and it appeared [shining] white to the beholders. 33
