Hizb 46

AND, BEHOLD, Jonah was indeed one of Our message-bearers 139 When he ran to the laden ship, 140 and cast lots, and was of the rebutted, 141 So the whale swallowed him, for he was blameworthy, 142 But had it not been that he was of those who glorify (Us), 143 He would have stayed in its belly till the day the dead are raised. 144 ۞ But We cast him forth on the naked shore while he was sick, 145 and We caused a gourd tree to grow over him. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand (folk) or more 147 and they believed, and We gave them enjoyment for awhile. 148 So ask their opinion: “(Are you convinced) that your Lord should have daughters and you should have sons? 149 Or did We create the angels females, while they were witnesses? 150 Is it not of their own calumny that they say, 151 "God has begotten children." They are truly liars. 152 Has He (then) chosen daughters rather than sons? 153 What ails you that you judge in such a wise? 154 Will you not then remember? 155 Do you have clear authority? 156 Then bring ye your Book (of authority) if ye be truthful! 157 And they have invented a kinship between Him and the jinns, but the jinns know well that they have indeed to appear (before Him) (i.e. they will be brought for accounts). 158 limitless is God in His glory, above anything that men may devise by way of definition! 159 Not thus, however, [behave] God's true servants: 160 So, verily you (pagans) and those whom you worship (idols). 161 you shall not tempt any against Him 162 except for he who shall roast in Hell. 163 [The angels say], "There is not among us any except that he has a known position. 164 We stand in ranks (for prayer) 165 And we are they who exalt (Allah)' 166 They used to say: 167 "If only we had had before us a Message from those of old, 168 we would have been sincere worshipers of Allah' 169 But when it came to them, they rejected it. They shall soon come to know (the end of such an attitude). 170 And surely Our word has gone forth respecting Our servants, the messengers: 171 That undoubtedly, only they will be helped. 172 and that Our army will be triumphant. 173 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from those [who deny the truth,] 174 and see, and soon they too shall see. 175 What, do they seek to hasten Our punishment? 176 Then when it descendeth unto them face to face, a hapless morn that shall be for those who were warned. 177 And turn thou aside from them for a season. 178 And watch and they shall see (the torment)! 179 Exalted is your Lord, the Lord of might, above what they describe. 180 And Peace on the messengers! 181 And Praise to Allah, the Lord and Cherisher of the Worlds. 182
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
