Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 and the severally severing 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 for an appointed term? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 for the living and the dead? 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
