Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ WHEN THE SKY is split asunder, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 and the graves are turned inside out, 4 Every soul will come to know what it has sent ahead and what it left behind. 5 O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous, 6 who created thee and shaped thee and wrought thee in symmetry 7 In whatever form He willed, He put you together. 8 By no means! Aye, ye belie the Requital. 9 Verify there are for you guardians, 10 Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds): 11 They know all that you do. 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 whereas the wicked will be in Hell; 14 roasting in it on the Day of Recompense 15 And thence they shall not be allowed to be absent. 16 And what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 17 How then can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 18 [It will be] a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to another human being: for on that Day [it will become manifest that] all sovereignty is God's alone. 19
