Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

The mutual rivalry for piling up (the good things of this world) diverts you (from the more serious things), 1 until you reach your graves. 2 Nay, you will soon come to know; 3 Again, no indeed, you shall soon know. 4 No! If you only knew with knowledge of certainty... 5 you would see the fire of Hell. 6 And again, you shall see it with certainty of sight! 7 and on that Day you will most surely be called to account for [what you did with] the boon of life! 8

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
