Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

May the hands of Abu Lahab perish, may he be ruined. 1 His wealth and gains will not exempt him. 2 he shall roast at a Flaming Fire, 3 along with his wife, that carrier of slanderous tales; 4 upon her neck shall be a rope of palm-fibre. 5

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
