۞ O ye men! It is ye that have need of Allah: but Allah is the One Free of all wants, worthy of all praise. 15 If He will, He could destroy you and bring about a new creation. 16 that is not difficult for God. 17 And no burdened soul will carry another soul’s burden; and if a burdened soul calls another to share the burden, no one will carry any part of it, even if he is a close relative; O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), your warning only benefits those who fear their Lord without seeing and who keep the prayer established; and whoever cleansed himself, has cleansed for his own benefit; and towards Allah only is the return. 18 The blind and the seeing are not alike; 19 Nor darkness and light, 20 nor the [cooling] shade and the scorching heat: 21 And not equal are the living and the dead. Indeed, Allah causes to hear whom He wills, but you cannot make hear those in the graves. 22 You are no more than a warner. 23 Indeed, We have sent you with the truth as a bringer of good tidings and a warner. And there was no nation but that there had passed within it a warner. 24 If they reject you, (know that) others who lived before them had also rejected their Messengers, Messengers who had brought them miracles, scriptures, and the enlightening Book 25 so I seized the unbelievers and how terrible was their torment. 26
