We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 And We saved them and their people from the great affliction, 115 and succoured them, so that [in the end] it was they who achieved victory. 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 And showed them the right path. 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 121 Indeed, they were of Our believing servants. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 Recall what time he said unto his people: fear ye not? 124 Will ye cry unto Baal and forsake the Best of creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers?" 126 But they called him a liar, therefore they shall most surely be brought up. 127 except Allah's chosen servants. 128 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 129 "Peace upon Elias." 130 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 131 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 132 And indeed, Lot was among the messengers. 133 When We saved him and his family, all, 134 Except an old woman, who became of those who stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by (their habitations) in the morning 137 Or at night. Then how is it you do not understand? 138
