We saved the Children of Israel from their humiliating torment 30 From Firaun; he was indeed proud, among the transgressors. 31 And We chose them, purposely, above (all) creatures. 32 And granted them Signs in which there was a manifest trial 33 Lo! these, forsooth, are saying: 34 "After we die, we shall never be raised to life again. 35 So then, bring forth our forefathers [as witnesses,] if what you claim is true!" 36 Are they, then, better than the people of Tubba and those before them, whom We destroyed because they were truly lost in [the same] sin? 37 It was not in idle sport that We created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them. 38 We created them in nothing else except the truth. But most do not know. 39 The Day of Decision is the appointed time for all. 40 The day when friend will help no friend in the least, nor will they be helped, 41 Except those upon whom Allah has mercy; indeed He only is the Most Honourable, the Most Merciful. 42
