Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 and place it in a secure place 21 Till an appointed term, 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 the living and the dead? 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
