Al-Takaathur
Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Greed for more and more distracted you [from God] 1 Until you come to the graves. 2 Nay, you will soon come to know; 3 Again, no indeed; but soon you shall know. 4 Indeed, did you know with certain knowledge 5 Ye shall certainly see Hell-Fire! 6 Then you will see it with the eye of certainty. 7 Then on that day you shall most certainly be questioned about the boons. 8
True are the words of God the Almighty.
