۞ Surely We had bestowed wisdom upon Abraham even earlier, and We knew him well. 51 Behold! he said to his father and his people, "What are these images, to which ye are (so assiduously) devoted?" 52 They replied: 'We found our fathers worshipping them' 53 He said, “Indeed you all you and your forefathers were in open error.” 54 They said: "Are you expressing your true ideas before us or are you jesting?" 55 He said, "[No], rather, your Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth who created them, and I, to that, am of those who testify. 56 By Allah, I shall certainly carry out my plan against your gods after you are gone." 57 Then he broke them all into pieces, sparing only the supreme one among them that they may possibly return to him. 58 They said: "Who has done this to our aliha (gods)? He must indeed be one of the wrong-doers." 59 'We have heard a young man called Abraham mention them' they replied. 60 They said: Then bring him (hither) before the people's eyes that they may testify. 61 They said, "Art thou the one that did this with our gods, O Abraham?" 62 He answered, "Rather this biggest one of them did it. Ask them, if they can speak." 63 Thereupon they realized their own foolishness and said, "We ourselves are wrong-doers". 64 But then they relapsed into their former way of thinking and said: "Thou knowest very well that these [idols] cannot speak!" 65 He said: What! do you then serve besides Allah what brings you not any benefit at all, nor does it harm you? 66 "Fie upon you, and upon the things that ye worship besides Allah! Have ye no sense?".. 67 They said, "Burn him and help your deities, if you are resolved to do something." 68 'O Fire' We said, 'be coolness and safety for Abraham' 69 They had sought to do him harm, but We frustrated them. 70 But We delivered him and (his nephew) Lut (and directed them) to the land which We have blessed for the nations. 71 We bestowed Isaac and then Jacob on him as an additional boon and We made all of them righteous. 72 and appointed them leaders to guide by Our Command and We revealed to them to do good deeds, and to establish the prayer, and the giving of charity, and they were for Us worshipers. 73 To Lot We gave wisdom and knowledge and delivered him from the city which practiced abomination. They were indeed a wicked people. 74 And We admitted him to Our Mercy, truly, he was of the righteous. 75

(3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. (5) وقف المجاذبة أو المعانقة حيث يجب الوقف في أي من موضعين قريبين ولكن ليس كلاهما، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة تظهر في أحد الموقعين باحتمال النصف للنصف.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
