The people of Nuh rejected the apostles. 105 span class="col">Their brother Noah asked them, "Why do you not fear God? 106 I am for you a faithful Messenger, 107 Therefore guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me 108 I ask of you no wage for this; my wage falls only upon the Lord of all Being; 109 So keep your duty to Allah, and obey me. 110 ۞ They said: "Should we place our trust in you when only the condemned follow you?" 111 He said: "And what do I know as to what they do? 112 “Indeed their account is only upon my Lord, if you perceive.” 113 And I am not one to drive away the believers. 114 I am only a Prophet. 115 They said: "If you do not desist, O Noah, you will be stoned to death." 116 He said: My Lord! Surely my people give me the lie! 117 hence, lay Thou wide open the truth between me and them, and save me and those of the believers who are with me!" 118 So We saved him and those with him in a laden ship. 119 Then We drowned the rest afterwards 120 Verily, in this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 121 And lo, thy Lord, He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 122
