And We created not the heaven and the earth and all that is between them without purpose! That is the consideration of those who disbelieve! Then woe to those who disbelieve (in Islamic Monotheism) from the Fire! 27 Do We consider the righteously striving believers equal to the evil-doers in the land? Are the pious ones equal to those who openly commit sin? 28 It is a blessed Book which We have revealed for you so that you will reflect upon its verses and so the people of understanding will take heed. 29 And We vouchsafed unto Da'ud Sulaiman. How excellent a bondman! verily he was oft-returning. 30 Recall what time there were presented unto him, at eventide, coursers swift-footed. 31 And he said, "Truly do I love the love of good, with a view to the glory of my Lord,"- until (the sun) was hidden in the veil (of night): 32 "Bring them back unto me!" - and would [lovingly] stroke their legs and their necks. 33 Indeed, We tried Solomon and placed a body (of a child) upon his throne, then he repented. 34 He said: My Lord! do Thou forgive me and grant me a kingdom which is not fit for (being inherited by) anyone after me; 35 Then We subjected the wind to his power, so that it blew gently, at his behest, wherever he willed, 36 And We subjected to him the evil ones: every builder and diver. 37 and others also, coupled in fetters: 38 "Such are Our Bounties: whether thou bestow them (on others) or withhold them, no account will be asked." 39 And he has a place near to Us, and a fine return. 40
