Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of those which carry away while dispersing. 1 Then those clouds bearing the load (of minute things in space). 2 And those that glide with ease (upon the sea) 3 And those (angels) who distribute (provisions, rain, and other blessings) by (Allah's) Command; 4 Indeed, what you are promised is true. 5 and the recompense shall surely happen. 6 I swear by the heaven full of ways. 7 surely you are deeply at variance [as to what to believe] -- 8 Deluded away from the Qur'an is he who is deluded. 9 They but destroy themselves, they who are given to guessing at what they cannot ascertain 10 Who are in a gulf (of ignorance) neglectful; 11 They ask: When is the Day of Judgment? 12 (It will be) a Day when they will be tried (and tested) over the Fire! 13 "Taste your trial. This is what you sought to hasten." 14 Surely those who fear God and follow the straight path will be amidst gardens and fresh springs of water, 15 Accepting the rewards given by their Lord; they were indeed virtuous before this. 16 They were in the habit of sleeping but little by night, 17 and asked for forgiveness in the early morning. 18 In whose wealth the suppliant and the deprived had a share. 19 AND ON EARTH there are signs [of God's existence, visible] to all who are endowed with inner certainty, 20 There is also evidence of the Truth within your own selves. Will you then not see? 21 And in heaven is [the source of] your sustenance [on earth] and [of] all that you are promised [for your life after death]: 22 And by the Lord of the heavens and the earth! it is most surely the truth, just as you do speak. 23
