Have you seen him who turns his back, 33 and gives a little, grudgingly? 34 Has he the knowledge of the unseen so that he can see? 35 Nay, is he not acquainted with what is in the Books of Moses- 36 and of Abraham, who lived up to the trust? 37 That no bearer of burden shall bear the burden of another- 38 And that man can have nothing but what he does (good or bad). 39 And that his striving shall soon be seen- 40 Then will he be rewarded with a reward complete; 41 And that the end is only towards your Lord? 42 That it is He who makes you happy and morose, 43 And that it is He (Allah) Who causes death and gives life; 44 and that it is He who creates the two kinds - the male and the female 45 out of a [mere] drop of sperm as it is poured forth, 46 And that upon Him (Allah) is another bringing forth (Resurrection); 47 That it is He Who giveth wealth and satisfaction; 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius (the Mighty Star); 49 And that He destroyed the former (tribe of) A'ad, 50 and Thamud tribes, 51 and before them the nation of Noah, they exceeded in evil and were insolent. 52 He plunged the villages 53 So there covered them that which did cover (i.e. torment with stones). 54 So O listener! Which favour of your Lord will you doubt? 55 This is a warner, of the warners of old. 56 The Day of Resurrection draws near, 57 There is no one to unveil it apart from God. 58 Does this statement seem strange to them 59 And do you laugh instead of weeping, 60 And ye are behaving proudly. 61 So prostrate yourselves before Allah and worship. ۩ 62
