Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 storming tempestuously 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 As justification or warning, 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what could make thee conceive what that Day of Distinction will be? 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 and place it in a secure place 21 For a known calculated term. 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 for the living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
