The News (Al-Naba')
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Whereof do they question one another? 1 Is it about the awesome tiding 2 Regarding which they hold different views. 3 No! They are going to know. 4 Yes, indeed, before long they will learn all about it. 5 Have We not made the earth an expanse. 6 And the mountains as projections (thereon)? 7 and created you in pairs (as men and women), 8 And made your sleep a rest. 9 And We have made the night a covering. 10 And have made the day for livelihood. 11 And We have built above you seven strong (heavens), 12 (the sun) as a shining torch 13 And We sent down rain from water-laden clouds pouring in torrents 14 So that We bring forth thereby corn and vegetation. 15 and gardens dense with follage. 16 The Day of Judgment will certainly be the final appointment. 17 the Day when the Trumpet shall be blown, and you will come forth in multitudes; 18 and heaven is opened, and become gates, 19 and the mountains will be set in motion and become a mirage. 20 Truly Hell is as a place of ambush, 21 A dwelling place for the Taghun (those who transgress the boundry limits set by Allah like polytheists, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, hyprocrites, sinners, criminals, etc.), 22 They will abide therein for ages, 23 they shall taste in it no coolness, nor any pleasant drink 24 save boiling water and a stinking fluid -- 25 The reward to each is according to what he is. 26 For indeed they did not look forward to any reckoning, 27 But they belied Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, and that which Our Prophet (Peace be upon him) brought) completely. 28 And everything We have recorded in a book. 29 Taste therefore. We shall not increase you in aught but torment. 30
