And when the messengers came to the family of Lot, 61 he said, "You are strangers [to me]." 62 They said: "Nay, we have brought to you that concerning which they have been in doubt. 63 "And we have brought to you the truth (the news of the destruction of your nation) and certainly, we tell the truth. 64 "Then travel by night with thy household, when a portion of the night (yet remains), and do thou bring up the rear: let no one amongst you look back, but pass on whither ye are ordered." 65 We informed him that the unbelievers would be utterly destroyed. 66 And the people of the city came rejoicing. (* To the house of Prophet Lut.) 67 He said: Lo! they are my guests. Affront me not! 68 And fear Allah and do not disgrace me." 69 They said, "Did we not forbid you to extend hospitality to strangers?" 70 He said, 'These are my daughters, if you would be doing.' 71 Verily, by your life (O Muhammad SAW), in their wild intoxication, they were wandering blindly. 72 But the (mighty) Blast overtook them before morning, 73 We turned the town upside-down and showered on them lumps of baked clay. 74 Herein are really signs for those who discern. 75 it is still there on the highway -- 76 Surely! Therein is indeed a sign for the believers. 77 The dwellers of the Thicket were harmdoers. 78 and We took vengeance on them. The two of them were upon a roadway manifest. 79
