The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

By the heaven, and the night-visitor, 1 And what shall teach thee what is the night-star? 2 It is the star shining brightly. 3 There is not a soul that does not have a guardian over it. 4 So let man look - from what is he created. 5 He is created of water pouring forth, 6 That is issued from between the backs and the ribs. 7 Surely (Allah) is able to bring him back (to life)! 8 The day all secrets are examined 9 he will have no power, nor anyone to help him. 10 By the heaven which returneth, 11 And [by] the earth which cracks open, 12 Verily, it is a discourse distinguishing. 13 it is no merriment. 14 Behold, they [who refuse to accept it] devise many a false argument [to disprove its truth]; 15 and so am I: 16 So leave the unbelievers to themselves; respite them awhile. 17

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
