And certainly did the companions of Thamud deny the messengers. 80 We sent them Our Signs, but they persisted in turning away from them. 81 Out of the mountains did they hew (their) edifices, (feeling themselves) secure. 82 But the (mighty) Blast seized them of a morning, 83 and of no avail to them was all [the power] that they had acquired. 84 AND [remember:] We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them without [an inner] truth; but, behold, the Hour [when this will become clear to all] is indeed yet to come. Hence, forgive [men's failings] with fair forbearance: 85 Your Lord is certainly the All-knowing Creator. 86 And indeed We have given you seven verses that are repeated, and the great Qur’an. 87 Do not strain your eyes towards the worldly benefits We have bestowed on some of them, nor grieve on their account. Lower your wing of mercy for the believers 88 And say thou: verily I! I am a plain warner. 89 Even as We sent down on the dividers 90 [and] who [now] declare this Qur'an to be [a tissue of] falsehoods! 91 So, by your Lord (O Muhammad SAW), We shall certainly call all of them to account. 92 About what they used to do. 93 Proclaim openly what you are commanded, and avoid the polytheists. 94 We will, surely, suffice you against those who mock, 95 those who set up another deity alongside Allah. They shall soon come to know. 96 And surely We know that your breast straitens at what they say; 97 So hallow thou the praise of thy Lord, and be thou of the prostrate. 98 And serve your Lord until there comes to you that which is certain. 99
