Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 Till an appointed term, 22 Thus We have determined the stages of development and Our power to determine is excellent indeed. 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 The living and the dead, 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
