Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
When the sun shall be wound round, 1 the stars are made to fade away, 2 and when the mountains are moved, 3 And when the she-camels big with young shall be abandoned, 4 And when the wild beasts are herded together, 5 And when the seas shall be filled, 6 When souls are reunited (with the bodies) 7 questions are asked about the baby girls buried alive, 8 For what crime she was killed; 9 and when the scrolls [of men's deeds] are unfolded, 10 And when the heaven is torn away. 11 and when the blazing fire [of hell] is kindled bright, 12 And when Paradise is brought near. 13 A soul will [then] know what it has brought [with it]. 14 Rather, I swear by the returning 15 the runners, the sinkers, 16 and by the night as it recedes, 17 The rising dawn, 18 [That] indeed, the Qur'an is a word [conveyed by] a noble messenger 19 with strength endowed, secure with Him who in almightiness is enthroned 20 obeyed by (all creatures) and faithful to His trust. 21 And (O people) your companion (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is not a madman; 22 Surely he beheld Him on the clear horizon. 23 And he is of the unseen not a tenacious concealer. 24 The Quran is not the word of condemned satan. 25 where then are you going? 26 It is nothing but Good Counsel for everyone in the world, 27 So let those who want, choose the right guidance 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29
True are the words of God the Almighty.
